Yuchai was founded in 1951 and is headquartered in Yulin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. It is a modern enterprise that focuses on power systems and implements concentric and diversified development. It currently has 13000 employees. The company has been selected as one of the top 500 Chinese enterprises, one of the top 100 global automotive parts enterprises, one of the top 500 Chinese manufacturing enterprises, one of the top 100 Chinese machinery industry enterprises.

Yuchai has established four R&D bases in Yulin, Nanning, Jiangsu and Europe. It has national enterprise technology centers, nationally recognized laboratories, postdoctoral research workstations, academician expert enterprise workstations, internal combustion engine National Engineering Research Center and other R&D platforms. It leads its peers in promoting the first engine that meets the national one to six emission regulations, as well as the world’s first power split plug-in hybrid, China’s first commercial vehicle hydrogen burning engine and other innovative products, leading the green revolution in the engine industry.

As of now, the company has produced and sold over 12 million engines, and exported them in bulk to more than 180 countries and regions worldwide.
